A few days before our Buyo Farm camping adventure, I was worried because every time I checked the weather, it said it would rain. I doubted that our Buyo Farm camping adventure could go as planned, but on the day of our departure, the forecast turned around—luck was on our side with a sunny weekend ahead!
Departure
We left the house at 9:30 AM and made our first stop at DALI to pick up some fruits and tube ice. I managed to grab some eggs and fruits, but the ice was nowhere in sight! We even swung by the nearby 7/11, only to find they were out of stock too. “Where did the tube ice go?” we joked. Thankfully, we eventually found a local tindahan selling ice—with several vendors lined up—just in time before heading off on our Buyo Farm camping adventure.
On our way, we encountered a toll gate for private cars entering Cayabu, which cost 50 pesos per car.
Arrival at the Farm
We arrived at Buyo The Farm and Villas at noon and were warmly greeted by the owners, Olive and Rino. We paid the following fees:
- 500 pesos per head for car camping
- 20 pesos per head environmental fee
If you’re worried about connectivity during your Buyo Farm camping adventure, rest assured—they offer satellite WiFi (Starlink) with unlimited usage and support for unlimited devices for only 500 pesos per day, which we happily availed.
Buyo Farm offers a variety of accommodations, including villas, camping with a gazebo, and tent pitching. They even assist with booking ATV adventures, 4×4 tours, and Mt. Cayabu trekking/hiking through their Brgy. Cayabu partners.

Setting up and Lunch
At 2:00 PM, we set up our car camping area, giving us plenty of time to relax before our next thrill. While waiting for our ATV ride scheduled at 4:00 PM—which cost 1800 pesos for an hour-long tour with a friendly guide—we enjoyed a hearty lunch of beef and pork samgyupsal with fresh vegetables, fish cake, and sweet soy-glazed potatoes.
ATV Adventure
After lunch, we headed to Palaya Eco-Natural Farm for our ATV adventure. Our guides, Kuya Manuel and his son, gave us a quick lesson with a practice drive before leading us through rugged tracks, rocky paths, and even a river crossing. This thrilling part of our Buyo Farm camping adventure left us with unforgettable memories, complete with slow-motion photos and videos of our ride.
A Relaxing Coffee Break
On our way back, we discovered a cozy coffee shop. I couldn’t resist trying their not so typical Orange Coffee—it was refreshingly delicious! With free WiFi for two hours (and daily access for a small fee), the shop provided the perfect break during our Buyo Farm camping adventure.
Before dusk, we returned to the river at Buyo Farm to fly our drones and capture the stunning scenery.

Dinner and Evening Fun
For dinner, we savored soft tacos filled with marinated ground pork and leftover vegetables from lunch. They were so tasty that we almost finished them all while watching the latest episode of Solo Leveling (another cliffhanger episode!). To burn off those calories, we played Just Dance in the middle of the night, laughing and dancing under the stars. Despite a chilly, foggy night that left some of our gear damp, we gathered in the tent, took a refreshing shower, and called it a day.

Morning at the River
The next morning, we spent some peaceful time by the river, sipping coffee and flying our drones as we awaited the sunrise. Even though it was still chilly, dipping our feet in the cool water felt like a refreshing foot spa. As the day warmed up, the landscape revealed nature’s breathtaking beauty, making the beginning of our Buyo Farm camping adventure all the more memorable.
Back at the tent, we prepared a simple brunch of toast, eggs, and mini sausages to refuel before packing up our camping setup—a task that felt like an impromptu workout in the heat! After a quick shower and goodbyes (with a few fun photos taken with our lovely hosts), we left with a special essential oil blend from them—a thoughtful keepsake for any camper.
